Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop employing only 4 individuals. Overall sales for that year amounted to about $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and other components. Through five years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 staff and their yearly sales volume had risen to $330,000. Now, Cascade is among the top international producers within the material handling trade.
Design and manufacturing of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder allowed this new business to aggressively pursue new business opportunities. Throughout the last 60 years, the industry of material handling has developed into a very advanced field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its development. Cascade at present continues to develop as the best supplier of lift truck accessories and different associated items. In the year 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the continental US to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Fullerton.
